N2 EXTREME GELATO

329 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy

Before I begin this post, I need to convess that I love ice-cream!  Another one of my missions is to taste as many ice-cream places as possible.

N2 Extreme Gelato definitely offers that 'wow' factor.  The staff all wear safety goggles, pouring liquid nitrogen into Kitchen Aid mixers.  It's a sight to see and experience.

Rosemary, Choc Fudge & Hazelnut Gelato and Crème Brûlée Gelato (L to R)

Around AFL grand final time, we went to N2.  It was around 8pm and the place was packed, buzzing with people.  I ordered the Rosemary, Choc Fudge & Hazelnut, while BF got the Creme Brulee.

I thought my selection was nice, however disappointingly nothing to really rave about.  The texture of the ice-cream was super smooth, however I wasn't convinced that I had ordered the right one.  Then I tried the Creme Brulee and that was amazing.  It wasn't just delicious, but it also tasted and felt like a real creme brulee.  It even had the toffee bruleed top.

N2 Extreme Gelato brings the making process to life.  You feel like you're not just watching them create your gelato, but watching a mad scientist show at the same time.  They also keep things fresh and new by constantly changing up the menu.  If you're after something different, head into N2 Extreme Gelato for a real show that's quite science cross cooking class.
