SARDI CAFE

111 Church St, Hawthorn - ph: (03) 9818 6140

Sardi Cafe has become a bit of a local favourite lately, and you can see my first review here.

I drive past it frequently on my way to work and more and more have been stopping for a take away coffee (and the eventual muffin indulgence).

On weekends, Sardi Cafe is a regular destination with the kids. They have a lovely menu healthy and naughty food options, prices are reasonable, coffee is good and their juices and smoothies are even better.

Although the place is tiny, tables churn pretty quickly and we've never had to way more than a few minutes to get a spot. Large groups might struggle a bit more.

I've tried a few different things on their menu and the brekkie board was probably one of my faves.

Brekkie board - pea fritters with poached egg, granola and almond croissant

It's the perfect thing to share with kids, and you get to try a few things from Sardi Cafe's menu. The pea fritters is nice and soft and goes well with the poached egg.

The almond croissant was really nice and sweet enough not to require any of the strawberry jam that comes with it.

The baked granola was filled with nuts and really filling.

Sardi Cafe's staff is always nice. The place is chilled out and a good, solid local cafe.

Gets my tick of approval!
